Sexual harassment damages people, teams and culture. It also leaves employees unsure what counts as harassment, how to respond and where to go for support.
At Understood, we design and deliver workplace sexual harassment training that is clear, practical and human. Our training helps employees and managers recognise harmful behaviour, respond safely and take shared responsibility for a respectful culture.
We tailor every session to your policies, reporting routes and language. Training can also be aligned with the UK legal context. That includes the preventative duty introduced by the Worker Protection Act 2023, and the strengthened duties taking effect on 30 October 2026 under the Employment Rights Act 2025.
Sexual harassment training should never feel like a tick-box exercise.
Our approach is practical, thoughtful and grounded in real workplace situations. Because of this, people engage with the content rather than sitting through it. The focus is not blame or fear. Instead, we build clarity, confidence and shared responsibility.
As a result, people leave with a clearer understanding of:

Everyone has a role in creating a safer workplace. Our all-staff sexual harassment awareness training helps employees understand what harassment is, why it matters and how everyday behaviour shapes the culture around them.
The training supports employees to:
Sessions run online or in person and work well as mandatory training for the whole organisation.

Managers are often the first person an employee speaks to. Therefore, they need to feel calm, confident and clear about what happens next.
Our sexual harassment training for managers supports People Managers and leaders to:
This module works best after employees have completed the all-staff awareness session.

Sexual harassment sits alongside our wider work on Violence Against Women and Girls, diversity, equity and inclusion, safeguarding and psychological safety.
Women are disproportionately affected, and gender, power and culture are an important part of the conversation. At the same time, harassment can be experienced or witnessed by people of any gender. Our training is designed to be inclusive, practical and relevant for everyone.
We design sessions for all employees, People Managers, senior leaders, HR teams, frontline and customer-facing teams, or mixed groups. Most run between 60 and 90 minutes.
Every organisation is different, so we lightly tailor the content to your policies, your reporting routes, your language and your workplace realities, including UK, US or international audiences.
Training is not mandated by name. However, since October 2024 employers have had a legal duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment at work. From 30 October 2026 that rises to all reasonable steps, and employers become responsible for harassment by third parties such as customers and clients. Training is widely treated as one of the clearest ways to evidence those steps.
Most of our sessions run between 60 and 90 minutes. Length depends on the audience and the depth required. Managers usually need a longer session than all-staff groups.
At a minimum: what sexual harassment is, how it shows up in everyday behaviour, intent and impact, bystander action, reporting routes and available support. Manager training should also cover responding to disclosures, confidentiality and escalation.
